Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria to qualify for the Leeds Doctoral Scholarship. They should not have previously received or be currently pursuing a doctoral degree. Additionally, awardees must commence their studies by 1 October 2024 and reside reasonably close to the University of Leeds throughout the scholarship tenure.
The selection process is rigorous and merit-based, with each school within the university nominating candidates. Final selection is conducted by the University of Leeds Scholarship Selection Panel.
Academic and Language Requirements:
Prospective applicants must hold an undergraduate First Degree equivalent to a UK First Class Honours degree. Alternatively, they may demonstrate substantial alternative experience or qualifications, such as achieving Distinction in a relevant Masters program.
Proficiency in English is mandatory, with an overall IELTS score of 6.0. No individual component should fall below 5.5 unless otherwise specified by the specific school or faculty.
